What we managed to read last night! Why I say 'managed' is because we wanted to read the book "The why why girl" by the renowned Mahasweta Devi before we attend the play on it today in the evening. We didn't have the book at home. Ordering and delivery would take time.
But WHY can't we read it today only???
We went to the library and reached there 10 mins before the closing time. We were not even sure if they have the book.
But we could find it there!
And obviously it had be to read on the way back itself.
The book is (obviously) about a girl who asks many "why's". What is touching about the book is the why's that she has asked for. Moyna's whys make our children aware that not everyone is fortunate enough to get formal education and other things that we are blessed with. And to add to it are the finely detailed illustrations by Kanyika Kini. A highly recommended book by Tulika publishers.
